Physician Quality Reporting System Maintenance of Certification Program Incentive
The AOA is now accepting submissions for the 2014 Physician Quality Repotting System (PQRS) Maintenance of Certification Program (MOCP) Incentive.The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) PQRS MOCP Incentive allows board-certified physicians to earn an extra 0.5% incentive payment for submitted Medicare/Medicaid claims. To qualify, physicians must be actively AOA board certified and:
- Satisfactorily submit data on quality measures under PQRS for the 2014 reporting period (Jan. 1 - Dec. 31, 2014) as an individual physician or as a member of a group.
- Be a participant in OCC.
- Have documented, via the AOA CME Activity Report, a minimum of 51 specialty CME credits earned within the past three years (2012, 2013, and 2014) by Dec. 31, 2014.
- Successfully complete a qualified OCC practice assessment during the 2014 reporting period as prescribed by their AOA specialty certifying board.
- Attest to whether a survey of patient experience of care was conducted. This survey data must be available to CMS for validation purposes upon request.
