The Testing Experience

Candidates will be escorted to their designated workstation. Due to the length of the Certification Exam Part I, test takers are offered an optional mid-exam break of 40 minutes. During this break, the test time will stop. If at any other time a candidate takes a break, the test time will continue.

Candidates are advised that:

• Brightness and contrast controls are available to adjust the display screen.
  
  
• Striking of content is an available feature.
  
  
• White boards and scrap paper are available from the proctor.

Breaks are normally authorized to allow test takers to visit the restrooms or, in the case of an all day exam, the opportunity to eat. Should a test taker have questions during the exam or require an unscheduled break, he/she should simply raise a hand and the proctor will come over immediately.

Candidates are reminded that the test has a 240-minute (4-hour) AM session, and a 120-minute (2 hour) PM session. Consult with the proctor if you have any questions regarding time.
